The SwiftComply team were delighted to attend and exhibit at the Institute of Water Annual Conference 2019, with a focus around disruption.
Thought leaders and experts from across the water industry, gathered at Titanic Belfast to share and discuss leading topics and how we must as an industry “disrupt now or be disrupted” Sara Venning (Institute of Water, President-Elect and Northern Ireland Water, CEO). The 2-day conference was respectfully opened by Sir John Parker, Chairman Pennon Group and co-hosted by industry rising stars.
Discussions were raised across many areas, including environmental consequences and impact, the importance of digitalisation and how we should as an industry embrace new technologies. John Mahony (Reputation Inc., CEO) shared insights on the effect of industry reputation to consumers, discussing global issues from urbanisation, the price of water, water quality and meeting supply and demand, key areas in which all leave an impact on the reputation of the UK water industry. We should all learn from past mistakes to be more efficient and effective in our resolutions, acting from the root of issues and create lasting impacts.
As an industry start-up, we were delighted to embrace the Institute of Water annual conference 2019 ‘Disrupt or be Disrupted’ as the platform to introduce SwiftComply to the UK water industry. Our cartoon book, ‘Adventures of Fatberg’ proved popular throughout the sold-out event, reaching many new homes, schools and water companies in our mission to raise general awareness on the consequences of fatbergs.
Thank you the Institute of Water and Northern Ireland Water for arranging a successful event.
